Wiper Blades - good, bad and the smudgly

It's raining.

It's raing A LOT. And when I say alot for the Pacific Northwet, I do mean A LOT. You certianly find limitations in the capabilities of wiper blades.

In the past I've had good luck with your typical mid-line wiper blades. I don't buy refills, the time wasted screwing around with them is better spent on other endeavors. I also won't buy cheap blades. Well, at least I thought I was not buying cheap blades.

My Mercedes Benz uses a somewhat unique single 22" blade mounted in the center of the windshield. I always order these direct from Mercedes and they work excellent!

The 964 has a set of TRICO blades on it and they are working great. I think a lot of the performance has to do with how good the glass is. In that car it seems nearly new.

But when it comes to the 993, nothing seems to work great, and the TRICO are neven close to being up to the task. They suck. To the point of being dangerous to drive at night, in the rain with those blades.

I suffered through a month or so like this and finally on Tuesday decided enough was enough and replaced the 2 month old TRICO blades with new Bosch units. WOW! What a difference.

BOSCH Blades - 1

TRICO Blades - 0
